Special Operating Conditions

Ford specifies that special operating conditions are those that are considered severe or harsh on the engine oil. When operating in special conditions, Ford recommends adopting a shorter oil change interval for diesel engines. New Fords with oil monitoring will adjust this automatically as needed; simply get the oil changed as indicated. If you have an older-model without oil monitoring, you will need to refer to the owner’s manual or give us a call at Joe Cooper Ford Yukon and we can assist.
