What to Expect
Here are the responsibilities and duties you’ll have as a technician at Joe Cooper Ford Yukon:
- Receive and carry out repair orders efficiently and accurately and by factory and dealership standards.
- Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and repair them as authorized, documenting your work appropriately.
- Follow and maintain housekeeping and safety policies and standards.
- Work with the Parts Department to obtain all needed parts.
- Road-test vehicles to ensure the repair is a solution to the customer’s complaint.
- Advise service advisor of additional work needed, of work that’s not needed, or if the magnitude of repair is incompatible with the time scheduled to carry it out.
- Check the quality of work.
- Attend trainings and classes.
- Keep customer’s vehicles clean.
- Stay up-to-date on factory technical bulletins.
- Know, understand, and follow all federal, state, and local regulations that apply to service and repair.
